blueprint for action, complete with cost/benefit analysis for
each recommended measure, whether taken separately or as part of a
package. Our computerized modeling
program considers every component of your home, and ranks all possible energy
improvements according to their predicted effectiveness. This is important, whether you simply need a
new furnace and want to be sure you are getting the most efficient model, or
whether you are borrowing money for an energy makeover and need to know that
the savings you realize will cover the payments.

The Friendly Interview:
Our approach to your house begins with you. If you have any specific comfort concerns, we want to make sure that we investigate them. Only after learning about a house and its occupants can we begin to develop a comprehensive approach for dealing with any problems you may have.

Combustion Appliance Analysis:
| The entire HH&HC staff has extensive combustion analysis training as well as the most up-to-date and accurate testing equipment available to determine if your combustion appliances are operating safely and efficiently.

The Blower Door: 
| The Blower Door is placed into the doorway of a home and is used to simulate specific pressure situations. Results from this test can tell how leaky or tight a home is, if there are any potentially dangerous situations in a home, how much connectivity exists between zones (i.e. the attic and the living space), and provide lots of useful information for diagnosing comfort issues.

Modeling:
After all of the information about your house has been collected, we enter the relevant numbers and details into a computer modeling program. The results tell us which strategies will yield the greatest energy savings. Combining these results with your input and our observations, we can help make your home as energy efficient, comfortable, and healthy as possible.
